Lower in caffeine than most 'Orange Peko' teas, our Organic Lapsang Souchang is often had by outdoor enthusiasts, especially after intense physical activities like hiking, distance running, rock-climbing or even a good workout at gym. Sip this tea by the fireplace on a cold day and its smokey flavor will remind you of the summer camp fire. On a summer day add a dash of orange juice and fresh lemon with crushed ice and sip it from a sugar rimmed tall glass. Hot or cold it perfectly compliments spicy, salty and pork dishes.

Organic Lapsang Souchang Tea 

Blackish dark brown whole tea leaves withered over pine or cedar fires, pan-fried, rolled and oxidized before being fully dried in bamboo baskets over burning pine.
Character / Liquor
Dark reddish brown, smokey flavored liquor that is certainly not sweet in taste.  

 

Pre-heat your pot for about a minute with boiling water then discard this water. Scoop a teaspoon of tea per cup and place it in the heated pot. Bring water to a rolling boil for a few seconds and pour it over the tea. Brew for 2-3 minutes. If you prefer you may add a little milk or lemon juice and sweeten the tea with sugar or honey. Strain and serve.
